The Status of the Sahabah

"My companions are like stars. Therefore, whosoever you follow from amongst them, you will be rightly guided." What is the Status of the Sahabah? This treatise before you is an abbreviation and explanation of an extract from Allaamah Jalaaluddeen Suyoothi's book Taareekhul Khulafaa', which describes the life and virtues of Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq. Thereafter, the love the Sahabah had for each other and the love Rasulullaah (ﷺ) had for them is explained. The virtues and merits of the other Khulafaa' Raashideen, and all Sahabah in general, are highlighted. Their distinction above others is concisely substantiated using the Qur'aan and Ahadeeth. Furthermore, the literature of anti-Sahabah groups is also used to prove the great status of Sahabah. The book then closes with a list of 140 similarities between Hadhrat Abu Bakr and Nabi (ﷺ). May Allah accept the efforts of all those involved in this work and use this work to solidify the respect for Sahabah in the hearts of all Muslims.
