Nearest Approach to the Messenger of Allah

That to send Durood on the Noble Prophet (blessings of Allah and peace be on him) is the most loved deed. Sakhawi (Allah have mercy on him) has collected Ahadith on the virtues and blessings of Durood. In the preamble to this part, he has given a summary of these virtues and blessings in the following words:
