Dr. La'1 Muhammad Chawla رحمة اللّٰه عده wrote a study of Al-Quran-Al-Karim in three volumes. He began each of the 114 surahs with a brief introduction and a synopsis. This effort proved very beneficial to the readers in grasping the meaning of the Quran. He then published this separate book made up of the introduction and synopsis. They give a summary and the theme of each surah with cross-references to verses elsewhere in the Quran on the same theme. Each synopsis is by itself a separate, independent piece of work that may be drawn upon by writers and orators. However, the main aim of the author is to inspire readers to undertake a serious study of the noble Quran.
